This site was a jungle of Blackberry and Ivy set on a steep, clay slope. It is the backdrop for most of the clients’ outdoor living and the view from the kitchen and dining room. The soils were very heavy and difficult to plant in.
After cleaning up the site, a granite stair was installed to provide soil retention, create visual appeal, and give access to an entirely new section of the garden. Photo taken shortly after planting.
We used mostly native plants to create a natural affect and to reduce the need for watering and maintenance on the slope.
