Tropical
This garden was mostly grass and mixed perennials before we started work. The clients wanted an unusual garden and a focal point patio that would offer room for outdoor entertaining.
Plant material with lush and unusual leaves and dramatic flowers were chosen to achieve a tropical spirt. Care was taken to ensure plants would be able to thrive in this protected section of Queen Anne. Photo taken four months after planting
Foliage detail: Brugmansia, Lobelia, Rubus, and Pittosporum
More foilage detail: Leycesteria and Euphorbia
The Tasmanian Tree Fern is a hardy tropical classic. Pictured with Astilbe, Carex, and Hellebores.
The lush foliage of the Honeybush will soon screen this cedar fence.
A large basalt column lends itself to a beautiful fountain.
The patio was made of dimensional Gold Rush and Holcomb granite border.
